First blog post!  Cue the music . . .

First weekend on the agenda to share is a sleepless, party-filled couple of days that happened a few weeks ago.  Well, not that kind of partying, but the baby shower, kid's birthday kind of partying.  Which can be just as fun, but a different kind of fun.  And the sleepless part?  While I do like to plan, I also like to procrastinate.

I'll start with T's baby shower on Saturday.

Sponsored by her dearest friends and delivered by the crew at Brennan's Houston (never a bad idea to outsource the locale and food to a beautiful/delish place).  Since we don't know the sex of the impending bundle of joy, we opted for decor in greens and corals.  With the room opening out onto the NOLA-style courtyard, the colors really complemented the light and brightness of the room.  Perfect place for a celebration, don't you think?

Based on the invites (SSB selected) and the Lily Pulitzer-like, mod table runners, the party printables featured customized menus, napkin rings, party tags, cupcake toppers, and favor tags . . . all designed, cut, and bedazzled by yours truly and CW.  AM coordinated the flowers perfectly and JS brought the sweets!

Did I mention that the DIY cupcake stands required a bit more elbow grease and glue than I originally envisioned? in the 100+ Houston heat (spray painting and toxic glue application should be done outdoors!)?  That's OK though, everything turned out just perfect!

And since our mama-to-be loves to play games, we had to uphold that time-honored tradition.  But LK modernized the games (playdough pictionary!),  made it so much fun and was the perfect emcee!  LG also provides the best in custom diaper cakes, don't you think?

What a Haute Mama! and an amazing group of friends.  LOVE these girls!  Oh, and based on the 'Old Wives' Tales' game that is supposed to predict the sex - a girl is on the way.  We'll see!  Can't wait to meet that precious baby!

Next post . . . Sunday brunch . . . darling N's first birthday shindig!
